Based out of the beautiful town of Carlise, North Star Stables is operated by Aimee Wesson and John Paul (JP) Gulbis.   Both sharing a love for horses and a passion for show jumping, they decided to work together to offer top quality horse care, training, sales/marketing, and coaching services.

JP originates from St. Catharines and has also been riding from the age of 10.  During high school JP started working for Eric Lamaze over his summer breaks.  After high school he took the opportunity to move to Eric’s Torrey Pines stables for two years where he continued to work, ride and compete throughout Ontario, Quebec, and Florida.  He then decided to pursue further education, endeavors in the music industry and eventually the business world with investment real estate.  All the while continuing to ride and train horses in Ontario.

 

Aimee came to Canada from Zambia in 2011 to study Psychology and Business at Brock University, from which she will be graduating in the spring of 2015.   Having competed in junior FEI dressage and show jumping competitions in Africa from the age of 8, Aimee was eager to continue her riding ambitions.  Shortly after arriving in Canada she started training horses at a breeding farm in the Niagara region.
